[edit] Unblock request

{{unblock}}

Hey - You weren't actually blocked by name. You were probably autoblocked. The thing is, in order for us to undo the block that caused you to be blocked, you need to cut and paste the message you see when you try to edit. Otherwise, we don't know what block caused you to be blocked! When you do, add the unblock tag back. For now, I'm removing it, because there's nothing we can do. Mangojuicetalk 15:00, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Your user name or IP address has been blocked from editing. You were blocked by Pgk for the following reason (see our blocking policy): Autoblocked because your IP address has been recently used by "Sherman.publishing@gmail.com". The reason given for Sherman.publishing@gmail.com's block is: "

I've removed those autoblocks, so you should be ok now. --pgk(talk) 16:25, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Loftus_Rugby.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Loftus_Rugby.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigDT 17:41, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Loftus_Rugby.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Loftus_Rugby.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigDT 17:41, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Kit body orangeblacksleevelinesandsidesthick.png. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Kit body orangeblacksleevelinesandsidesthick.PNG. The copy called Image:Kit body orangeblacksleevelinesandsidesthick.PNG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 16:31, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Usa rugby south.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Usa rugby south.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:16, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
