Hello!
Hello!
You wrote a rather good article on Ubi pus, ibi evacua. I only corrected two small points.
- The article should not start with a header (such as ==Ubi pus, ibi evacua==). The automatic header inserted by Wikipedia is enough.
- More importantly, don't sign articles. They aren't your personal property. Here in Wikipedia, anyone can participate in any article. Personal comments, such as in Talk pages or in votes for deletion, are personal property, but articles are shared throughout all Wikipedians.

I'm not sure why you changed this on the article on Traube's space, please explain on my talk page. --Steven Fruitsmaak 18:11, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
That was my attempt to introduce a non-breaking space as recommended at Wikipedia:Manual of Style (dates and numbers) but I forgot the semicolon after the 160, so it didn't come out right. It worked in the preview without the semicolon, but seemingly not on the page. Rjwilmsi 21:45, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Henipavirus page
Thanks for your suggestions on the henipavirus page. What do you mean by "in-text references?" The page uses the Harvard system which has in-text references. Do you mean footnotes? They might make the article more readable for a non-scientific audience. Rhys 01:03, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

comments at talk;writing a medical article
my motivations went, more or less, as follows.
There has been a contretemps at diabetes mellitus in regard to GTF, see the talk page. jfw made reference to the doctor's mess, and out of curiosity I followed it. While htere I noticed a discussion about consolidating dyslipidemias into a single article and some discussion about what to call the article. That discussion was the instant inspiration of my plea on behalf of the beleaguered Average Reader.
Placing it just there was a bit of a guess. My hope is that it will be read and result in some high level relief to said Reader from 'inside baseball' jargon, at least in article titles.
Sorry about the typos which I've just noticed. Neuropathy between brain and digits, you see. ww 13:55, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
Greetings
I replied on the talk page. Actually i fail to see the point why you want to delete this article. After all, Greetings is no college band, and it is not because you never heard about them that they should not be included in wikipedia. Cause then you will have to delete each article on belgian jazz... Julien Tuerlinckx 12:16, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- OK sorry if you resented the tone of my answer (if this means anything) but I was actually quite surprised a belgian guy wanted to delete this entry. I'll try to improve this article when I find the time and will to do so. Cheers Julien Tuerlinckx 22:09, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

In response to C-Tec deletion:
(posted here, since the article has already been deleted)
Unfortunately, I did not see this before the article was deleted. If it is possible to un-delete it, I feel this step should be taken. I don't understand why C-tec would not be considered notable enough to have their own article. They fall well within the bounds of importance, as defined by Wikipedia:WikiProject_Music/Notability_and_Music_Guidelines. Primarily, the band consists of members of Cubanate and Front 242, both of whom are unarguably notable. If it is not too late, this deletion should surely be reconsidered, and I do not think that it should be deleted simply because I have been unable to check my messages, and therefore couldn't argue for it.
Addendum: Since the article was deleted before I could see the reasoning for it, I would appreciate an explanation in response. Thanks. Sovex 21:14, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style (Medicine-related articles)
You wrote ".. not a good idea ... However, I think it should be included ...". I don't understand where you've left your position on this. Could you clarify? Cheers, Colin°Talk 12:34, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
OK. So now we know your position, but why do you support something that you don't think is a good idea and "will lead to more debate than it's worth"? Do you just want the word "lasting" dropped from JFW's criterium? Note that Wikipedia:Lists (stand-alone lists) is not policy, just a guideline. In addition, that criterium is significantly stronger than this guideline. Colin°Talk 16:11, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
I hope I've explained things some more on the project page. The WP:LIST and associated guidelines appear to be relatively volatile - there have been many attempts to rewrite them. That's why I don't want to get hung up on a sentence or two. Especially if it makes you do things you don't like/agree with or would annoy other people.
My user page is a little out of date. To answer your questions:
- Yes. Scary isn't it. Creating a new article is easier than editing a mature one. I haven't done any for a while.
- No. But Stiripentol is French.
- No. Just haven't felt the need.

Re drug-stub
I believe creating a drug-stub would be redundant to pharma-stub – unless pharma-stub was then left for use on actual pharmacology articles (ie pharmacology as a science) instead of medication pages? Besides, if created, it should probably be medication-stub; drug carries the negative meaning of recreational drug for most people. Fvasconcellos 20:01, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the correction
Stevenfruitsmaak,
Thanks for your modifications to my entry. I am well aware of the rules and regulations here at Wikipedia. I am a professional with 15 years of experience in IT and the web. I knew from the get-go that it was going to be a fine line. The truth is that Flaghouse is an American-based company. However, they have branches in Canada and the UK (Rompa.com). The page I added to the external links section takes people to a content rich page. In the future, this page will have links to some of the biggest and most ambitious Snoezelen projects in the USA and Canada. I think the page will play a role in educating people on not only the meaning of the word, but also its real-world application.
Thanks again,
Pablo
Medical Star
I placed the cross on the PUA page. I finally archived the discussion for several reasons 1) not a lot of support 2) poor image quality and 3) the fact that the conversation had languished. Look at the diswcussion for T.V. or the auto star to see the difference in the level of interest and input. If you want to see the award used, or placed on the WikiProject Award page, I would suggest correcting any of the three issues - get a good image, and get support for it! --evrik 13:47, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Ethnopharmacy
Hello. You happened to be the first medically knowledgeable Wikipedian I saw online. I was wondering if you could check something for me. An anon made susbstantial changes to Ethnopharmacy that appear legit but then went on to vandalize the redirect at Ethnomedicine. It was the vandalism that made me doubt the other edits. Since I don't know enough about the terminology, I was hoping you might check the Ethnopharmacy article to see if those edits were legit or more vandalism. Thank you for any help you can provide. SWAdair 09:39, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

Re-evaluation Counseling
Hi! I reverted your recent change on Yawning as Re-evaluation Counseling is (both by it's own members and others) seen as something separate to co-counselling, although similar. Bot for sorting Category:Pages needing expert attention
Hi,
I had an idea to sort Category:Pages needing expert attention according to expertise. That way, Wikiprojects could easily track articles needing expert attention in their field. I think expert attention will get more input from wikiprojects than general cleanup. I've already begun "Pages needing attention from expert in medicine" manually, but if a bot could detect categories, it could split up the expert-category entirely into subjects (if necessary, with a complete list of pages needing expert attention in place).
- a) I'm not sure if you don't already plan to implement such functions into Pearle.
- b) If you like the idea, I'd be interested in running a clone of Pearle for this task. Or maybe Pearle could be expanded.
Anyway I have no experience with bots.
--Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 11:59, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Pearle is already isolating medical articles (and lots of other topics) needing expert attention. See e.g. Wikipedia:Pages needing attention/Health science. -- Beland 04:43, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
