[edit] Lake Ontario Waterkeeper
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Lake Ontario Waterkeeper, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.oen.ca/dir/detail.php?id=1902. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 15:17, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Lake Ontario Waterkeeper
A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Lake Ontario Waterkeeper, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. MasterXC 15:42, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Lake Ontario Waterkeeper
An article that you have been involved in editing, Lake Ontario Waterkeeper, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lake Ontario Waterkeeper. Thank you. But|seriously|folks 17:23, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
- Welcome to Wikipedia. It would be appreciated if you would not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. -- But|seriously|folks 20:00, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
- Articles have to satisfy Wikipedia's standards from the start. You shouldn't be posting things without complying with WP:N and WP:V. The AfD process gives you five days, and it's not unilateral; it's a community process. If anybody's acting unilaterally here, it's you, by removing the AfD template. You're the one who needs to chill. You should probably review WP:CIVIL as well.-- But|seriously|folks 20:15, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Please stop
Please stop. If you continue removing Articles for deletion notices or comments from articles and Articles for deletion pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. -- But|seriously|folks 20:15, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
AfD notices belong at the top of the article. Removing the notice or moving it to the bottom is considered vandalism. Please stop. IrishGuy talk 20:33, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Come on, Steve...
I _really_ don't want to be the one who has to report you for all this. Chill, ok?--SarekOfVulcan 20:50, 22 October 2007 (UTC) (aka Garrett Fitzgerald)
Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. IrishGuy talk 22:58, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
- FYI, I just posted over at WP:WQA.--SarekOfVulcan 05:41, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

- Re: 3RR -- you haven't passed it yet, but if you revert again, you will, and that's blockable. Stay cool, and you'll be able to keep working here.--SarekOfVulcan 15:43, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] October 2007
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lake Ontario Waterkeeper. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. — Coren (talk) 15:43, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Just a comment
It's generally bad form to change a comment after people have already responded to it. I'd recommend just writing a new comment if you have more information to add. It makes it easier to follow the dicussion. -Chunky Rice 18:44, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- I've changed my opinion to keep on this article, given the improvement and sources added. However, your attitude during this AfD has been very poor and I'd advise to to keep it more civil in the future or you'll likley get into trouble. -Chunky Rice 16:17, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Please stop
Please stop posting test from other websites, even if you're going to remove it later. It remains in the page history and is a potential problem down the road. Thanks. -- But|seriously|folks 03:03, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
So how do you suggest I establish LOW's notability? I expect the AfD to come down real soon now. StevenBlack 03:06, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- The same way all articles are supposed to be written here. By summarizing facts in your own words and citing to reliable sources that support your factual assertions. It's difficult, but it's not rocket science. (Unless you're working on this article.)
- Not sure what you mean by "come down". AfD's run for five days.
- As for my sig, I have considered it and am keeping an open mind. You are the second or third person to mention it, which is below my action threshold, as it does comply with WP:SIG. But I'm always looking for ways to shorten up the code. If you have any suggestions there, I'm all ears. -- But|seriously|folks 03:15, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Simmer
First, please stop shouting "KNOCK IT OFF" at people. It's uncivil and could lead you to be blocked.
Second, it wasn't my idea to put two prose tags on that article. I simply reverted your removal, because you didn't fix the problem. But I think you do not understand that these tags are used to mark a particular section that needs work. There are two of those, so two tags are quite appropriate. -- But|seriously|folks 07:28, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Warning
You get one warning, and only one. This kind of edit is unacceptable, Steven. Treat other editors with such contempt once more and you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Wikipedia is intended to be a civil and constructive community, and such remarks are inexcusable. Neil ☎ 12:15, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Blocked
You have been blocked for 24 hours from editing for disrupting Wikipedia by making personal attacks. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. Neil ☎ 17:36, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Mediation
Please see my response at User_talk:Daniel/Archive/48#Lake_Ontario_Waterkeeper. If you wish for mediation, please follow the instructions at WP:MEDCAB to file a new case. Daniel 12:45, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- Steve, it looks like you didn't complete the mediation request: are you still working on it? If not, there's a link in the template to pre-fill the case with the proper structure.--uɐɔlnʌɟoʞǝɹɐs 19:00, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] News coverage of the Mzoli's article
Hi StevenBlack, the following news articles concern the Mzoli's article, which was recently started by the site founder, Jimbo, then speedy deleted without discussion, then nominated for deletion.
- David Sarno. "Wikipedia wars erupt", Los Angeles Times, 30 September 2007.
- "Wikipedia: an online encyclopedia torn apart", The Daily Telegraph, 11 October 2007.

[edit] Rudeness
I'm not lazy. googling showed me that the original was more likely true than the replacement. Have anything truthful to say? Tedickey (talk) 00:41, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fernie Alpine Resort
Your revert on Fernie Alpine Resort (diff) was warranted, but I feel it was for the wrong reason. I think the information was not a WP:POV issue, but one of unsourced information or original research. Incriminating information is not a point of view.
No action needs to be taken. Just a comment. Billscottbob (talk) 03:54, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
