Hi Steve. I saw your message on VS's talk page and thought I may be able to guide you in the right direction. The Mirrool image and a bunch of other images of Australian places etc. can be found at Wikimedia Commons. The Mirrool photos can be found at commons:Mirrool, New South Wales and the silo kick sign at commons:Image:Mirrool Silo Kick Sign.jpg. You can see the licensing requirements listed here.
