[edit] Alaska cruises

Steve, I attempted to improve the "Alaska Cruise" article, and to re-locate it at "Alaska cruises", which I think is a more appropriate title. However, as you'll see, some Wikipedia editors are quickly jumping on it as an "advertisement". I hope you will see that I tried to improve the article's stance within Wikipedia. You're on your own, from here, in trying to "defend" its right to exist. --JossBuckle Swami 03:29, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Now I feel used, Steve. The external link that you wanted so badly to include contains (at the third- and fourth-level of pages) Google ads and referral/affiliate links to travel agent sites. Wikipedia shouldn't be used to promote a for-profit site's traffic volume. I'm sorry I tried to help make your article better. Don't re-add that link, without proper dialogue for at least a week on the "Discussion" page of the article. --JossBuckle Swami 04:13, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] al-cruise.com

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Custom Alaska Cruises. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --Siobhan Hansa 04:50, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
