- I'm sorry I don't quite follow. You have a lot of experience in commercial interior painting, is that correct? What page's discussion would you like to add to? -Optigan13 (talk) 21:34, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Oops. Nubie alert. Let me try this again.
I've got a bunch of experience in color matching/identifying/naming in the paint industry, and I think I may have something to add to the discussion/project about "color", and/or the various colors. I've been lurking on wikipedia for a few years; now I want to get involved and haven't the first idea where to begin. Can you help me out?

- You might want to start by finding reliable sources to back up any of your personal knowledge. Your expertise is appreciated, but simply adding info without sources is typically frowned upon. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 21:55, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. But I still don't know how to join the discussion. As I said: Nubie.

- Ok you may want to try talking to the Wikipedia:WikiProject Color which is a group people working on the color articles. -Optigan13 (talk) 22:25, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
- I responded above with the welcome template. That should answer a lot of your questions with a lot of FAQs/guidelines. Hopefully that answers your questions. If you have any more questions you can just post them here and I'll probably notice it, and respond here, keeping the thread together. -Optigan13 (talk) 04:19, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome templates
Aahhh... Exactly what I was looking for. Is there a place that this is found, sould I need to direct others?
Stephenlegh (talk) 12:02, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- The collection of templates that can be found at Category:Welcome templates as well as at Wikipedia:Welcoming committee/Welcome templates. That welcoming committee gives a full explanation at the general procedure. If you see another template that you like the links on then just go ahead and replace your one up above with whichever you prefer. One other minor note is that new topics generally go below old ones. I know I added that welcome template out of chronological order, but as you can tell it's a big honking block of text. -Optigan13 (talk) 02:22, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
