[edit] Paul Hester

Stephen, regarding your edit of The Wiggles: you added the bolded part of the following: Minor characters of note include The Cook (portrayed by Anthony Field's late father, John, and Crowded House drummer Paul Hester, until his death in 2005),[39] Professor Singalottasonga, and Dapper Dave (both played by Moran),[40] and Officer Beaples and Fiona Fitbelly (both played by Leanne Halloran).[41]

I appreciate the addition, of course, but I struggle with how necessary it is. First off, of course Hester played The Cook until his death, as did John Field. Secondly, there's the piece of information that Hester committed suicide, which is what I suspect you're driving at. Or maybe you're referring to "The Wiggles death curse". If you look at that discussion, you'll see that at one point, this was mentioned in the article, but it was deleted because there wasn't a reliable source for it. I wonder, then, if a better edit would be something like, "...and Crowded House drummer Paul Hester, who committed suicide in 2005..." Personally, I don't think it's necessary, since the reference is about his death, anyway. I won't change it until you let me know what you think, and we discuss it a little bit. Thanks. --Figureskatingfan (talk) 22:33, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Roses from Dorothy

Dorothy the Dinosaur (and me) have given you this beautiful rose in appreciation for your intelligence and good sense in your revert of The Wiggles. Good on ya, mate! --Figureskatingfan (talk) 04:24, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] ad subdirectory

What does that mean exactly? Did I screw up in replacing the image? --Stephen 12:35, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Hello! This pertains to a flaw affecting a small number of users. Approximately 0.4 percent of our images are stored in subdirectories called "ad," which causes some ad-filtering software to mistake them for advertising and block them from view.
I use a script (compatible with recent versions of IE and Firefox) that places a red border around such images. In case you're interested, here's the code (which gets added to one's personal CSS):
img[src*="/ad/"] { border: solid red 10px !important; }

[edit] Speedy deletion years in art

Stephen, I have seen inconsistencies in how the years in art categories are dealt with. you are correct that some decades are contained on one page (like the 1400's), but in many other cases individual years got individual pages (see 1500's, 1600's, etc). My thought was go with individual pages assuming that over time as more events, deaths, births, and works gets noted, that a page may get too busy and need to be split up later. That was just a thought Let me know what you think. Thanks. Keithh (talk) 01:01, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

I should note that I agree with your sentiment that I should do the pages one at a time, rather than in bulk and going back. I was not aware that speedy deletion was so...y'know...speedy. Keithh (talk) 01:03, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Mel Ferrer

Hi, I notice you've twice removed the picture from the infobox. It's actually a free image. If you have a look at the image page, it's linked to Commons. thanks Rossrs (talk) 07:55, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

stephen, you are a control freak jack ass- fuck you and your pseudo intelligence. wikipedia is a joke because of morons like you.

[edit] Thank You

Thank you for your comment on my RFA. While I disagree with the reason you oppose, I am happy you participated because Wikipedia is all about opinion and consensus. The reason I feel of Administrators as team leaders or managers, is because I noticed everyone goes to them when they have questions, just like the team leaders at the Meijer I work at get. I don't feel that admins should be treated above anyone else, but they should help others or the project when they can. Once again thanks. :) <3 Tinkleheimer TALK!! 19:15, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
