[edit] SQL request
Thanks! Interesting... I wonder if all activity from the House is routed through that single IP. Considering how different the editing styles and politics of the various users are, it seems likely. Happy editing! Antandrus (talk) 16:51, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] User Page award
Congratulations, Stephanie/Archive7! Your user page has been nominated for the Esperanza User Page Award! Five judges will look over your user page and award it 1-10 points in four categories:
- Attractiveness: general layout, considering colour scheme and/or use of tables if applicable
- Usefulness: links to subpages or editing aids, helpful information
- Interesting-ness: quirky, unique, captivating, or funny content
- General niceness: at the judges' discretion
But first, you must be chosen as a finalist. If your user page is chosen as one of the five finalists, you'll have the chance to win an award created just for having a great user page!
More information can be found on this page.

[edit] Pfft Bot
Hey Phroziac, I saw that your "Pfft Bot" semi automatically or occasionally moves images to the commons. We have a huge chunk of pics at Wikipedia:3D_Illustrations/Review_list which at meant to be moved. I was thinking of starting my own bot, but maybe Pfft Bot can come to the rescue? :-) --Dschwen 07:55, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
- Please wait touching Wikipedia:3D_Illustrations/Review_list there is still some discussion going on. In the meantime I checked out pywikipediabot myself and played around with it. Neat tool! --Dschwen 13:37, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
-
- Thats ok, but some grave issues about the quality of the image-naming and their captions arose after I first asked for your help. I tweaked pywikipediabot so that I could move a massive amount of pics automatically, but we're holding off and considering having them all deleted instead :-) --Dschwen 13:51, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] User talk page blanking
I saw the discussion on Jim on WP:AN/3RR, and wanted to point a few things out: 1) Users can edit their user talk page while blocked. Therefore, blocking would not do much. 2) If he's removing the messages, he must have seen them. 3) I'm sure you noticed it doesn't take much to find the removed content. 4) The 3RR rule is an electric fence, and not an entitlement. If I handled this, and it was an edit war on an article, I would have blocked both users. I believe it says somewhere in there that all parties should be treated equally...in most circumstances. 5) When users act like that, they don't tend to stay around for very long, due to an eventual indefinite block. In other words, don't worry about it. :) --Phroziac . o º O (♥♥♥♥ chocolate!) 21:05, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for writing. You may have seen my response to William M. Connolley:
- It was my understanding from discussions with other editors that blanking one's talk page—especially if one does so to avoid answering to accusations of vandalism and sockpuppetry—is a violation of policy. The note about blocking was an error that I failed to catch. If indeed my understanding of policy is incorrect, I will withdraw all current and future objections. RadioKirk talk to me 21:00, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
So, in other words, I guess I'll not worry about it ;) RadioKirk talk to me 21:10, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] -Ril-'s block
Hi, Phrozaic. User:-Ril- sent me mail, asking me to unblock him. Do you think you could give me a little context about the block so that I understand more about what's going on? Thanks. Nandesuka 18:22, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for explaining. It's probably not something I would have blocked for, but doesn't seem like it warrants my getting involved, either. Nandesuka 13:20, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Another Esperanzial note...
Hi again Esperanzians! Well, since our last frolic in the realms of news, the Advisory Council has met twice more (see WP:ESP/ACM2 and WP:ESP/ACM3). As a result, the charter has been ammended twice (see here for details) and all of the shortcuts have been standardised (see the summary for more details). Also of note is the Valentines ball that will take place in the Esperanza IRC channel on the 14th of February (tomorrow). It will start at 6pm UTC and go on until everyone's had enough! I hope to see you all there! Also, the spamlist has been dissolved - all Esperanzians will now recieve this update "newsletter".
The other major notice I need to tell you about is the upcoming Esperanza Advisory Council Elections. These will take place from 12:00 UTC on February 20th to 11:59 UTC on February 27th. The official handing-over will take place the following day. Candidates are able to volunteer any time before the 20th, so long as they are already listed on the members list. Anyone currently listed on the memberlist can vote. In a change since last time, if you have already been a member of the leadership, you may run again. Due to the neutrality precident, I will not vote for anyone.
Yours, as ever, Esperanzially,

[edit] a question, IF you have time
Hey, fellow AWWDMBJAWGCAWAIFDSPBATDMTDian... I saw your page User:Phroziac/156.33.0.0/16 ips that have edited... I want to do the same thing for a different range, because a very persistant vandal is editing from that range. (I am dealing with his ISP and this info might be useful.) is there an EASY way for you to explain, or a place you can point me to, on how to do that? (I saw the SQL command but have no idea where to go to run it.) If its a hassle don't worry about it, thanks. Herostratus 06:23, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
- Right. If I get an account on m:toolserver I'll probably manage to crash Wikipedia or launch a nuclear strike or something. If you get a chance in the next few days, what I would like to know is, what IP addresses have edited in the range given since... beginning of December 2005 would be ideal, beginning of January 2006 would be OK if that's easier. Range is:
- 64.107.n.n
- 66.99.n.n
- Thanks! Herostratus 22:33, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

- Thank you!

[edit] Back
I never really left. I was just overwhelmingly busy with other things. o_o Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day! :)
P.S. I've gone on #wikipedia-en-vandalism a few times to do some patrolling, but the new system confuses me. x_x Acetic Acid 23:58, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
- My gosh, how my talk page has grown! xD I feel bad. I never replied to some of those messages, but I guess they are outdated. Replying now would be meaningless. Acetic Acid 00:53, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sigh
Sometimes you just have to laugh at the arbcom and the things that go on in their proceedings. I took you and Ril one step further and proposed we ban everyone on Wikipedia for a year so we can all have a nice vacation :-P.
Anyway, how's things? I had heard you had an rfb, but by the time I went over there, it was at 50%, so I figured it was already clinched against you(rfb standards are way too high). I'm curious if we're still on friendly terms considering that it seems you're in the Cabal now and Lir seems to have become the president of my fan club on Wikipedia Review. Oh well, whatever happens, happens I suppose. Karmafist 04:49, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
- Nice on the rfb or the fan club? Anywho, I disagree on TINC, but eh -- it's more TCDM for me... The Cabal Doesn't Matter. They're there, but whatever... I'm sure you're up on what's been going on, so I'm still up in the air as on where to go next. Karmafist 05:07, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Up?
You're up as in awake or up as in spirits? Excuse the archiving, it was well overdue there. Karmafist 05:16, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] My Welcome
lol, trying to score some points with the cabal? ;-) It's alright, i'll just recreate it if I feel like it(right now i'm taking a break from it by NSLE's request), or use the copy of it I have as a word file on my hard drive. I know that your situation at home requires the emotional support of them, so I can't hold it against you. Later, Karmafist 05:15, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re:Re:
Why's that?Karmafist 16:34, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
- No, i'm trying to get new viewpoints to help end those wars, since they keep on happening over and over again with the same group of people. In any case, i'm taking a few days off from it out of respect for NSLE, so you have some time to activate the cabal if you'd like. Karmafist 17:16, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Long term abuse/Squidward
Woo-hoo! I've been trying to get some action on this guy for weeks. I have a bunch of questions and comments:
- Wow, that's a great page! Thanks and congrats!
- How on earth did you compile all that info so quickly? How did you sort the Squidward/George Reeves edits from the valid Illinois Central Network so quickly?
- How do you know Squidward is the George Reeves guy? Their MO's seem different. Can you point me to an IP address(es) that Squidward used (I can find by going thru the list instead maybe).
- I also have been in email contact with this person, also in contact with Illinois Century Network, and have followed this guy with... interest, so if there's anything I can do to help.
- Is there a proposed or standard solution in a case like this?
- Basically, the rest of my questions and comments I'll send in an email for privacy and security. Herostratus 14:03, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
-
- Yeah but how do you know he's the George Reeves guy and not a new penis vandal who also happens to be an Illinois Central Networks subscriber? Herostratus 17:23, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Banning of account 'Vandalite'
I think it is a bit harsh that you blocked the account 'Vandalite' without him doing anything. I know him and he was joining to help me edit some pages, and he was banned straight away. Can you give him a chance? Many thanks, EAi 01:45, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks very much for sorting this, sorry for bothering you about this. EAi 03:14, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] FuelWagon
FuelWagon was, in my opinion (others disagree) a very productive editor with a strong sense of NPOV. However, he also was an "ancient historian", an editor who persists in bringing up incidents in the past, often with a slanted perspective. He spent six months complaining that he had been wronged in the Terri Schiavo edit war, mostly by SlimVirgin, and also by Ed Poor. In looking over the case, I concluded that SlimVirgin had made some reckless edits, although she was hardly the only person to do that. FuelWagon had engaged in personal attacks and incivility. He had the standard that what he said was not a personal attack if he avoided profanity. (He did admit that he had used profanity in the past and gotten blocked for it.) It also appeared that Ed Poor had tried to mediate the dispute, and had acted in good faith but made mistakes. I repeatedly tried to tell him to stop venting anger. His case does differ from that of Pigsonthewing in that Pigsonthewing was contemptuous of the ArbCom, while FuelWagon's atttitude toward the Cabal was a prolonged white-hot rage. FuelWagon also became a vexatious litigant with his constant demands for action against his adversaries. By the way, I think Everyking is also becoming a vexatious litigant. Robert McClenon 13:13, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
- If you will write a user conduct RfC against -Ril-, I will certify it, because I also tried to caution him to stop making absurd comments about the clerks. When the dogfight is over, I think I may write a user conduct RfC against Everyking. These two vexatious litigants are becoming ridiculous. Robert McClenon 15:35, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Query about citations
Dear Phroziac,
This is Andy123. I was talking to you on #wikipedia the other day. I have a query.
It is about citations. Some controversial articles to which NPOV standards are rather difficult to achieve might require many citations and authorities from various sources over the internet. Is it necessary that the links be placed on the page of the article itself? I think that would be a degrading thing to do with the format. The external links should be placed at the bottom of the page, if they can justify the content of the article. I will be watching this page, so please reply here. If you can, then reply on my discussion page as well.
There were some templates on my page that are not been displayed at all.
Template user agnostic and Template user evolution Can you tell me what happened to them?
- Anirudh 1130 hrs 21 February 2006 (IST)
- I don't know anything about citations. You'd be better to ask someone else about that. As for the templates, a lot of userboxes have been being deleted lately, mostly political ones, because WP:NOT a soapbox. --Phroziac . o º O (♥♥♥♥ chocolate!) 12:16, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia Review
Yep. What I just said to David Gerard [1] sums it up, and the same goes for our friendship in terms of what I said to him. Ok, gotta go. Karmafist 13:10, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
This is a new comment from rockforchrist3. I just wanted to tell Phroziac that I am fighting a battle against the enemy within, the liberal fascists of America. I want to know why radically liberal ideas are allowed to be posted on Wikipedia articles that give information on conservative America.
[edit] Wireless
I'm at a cafe, and the connection got wonky. Hold on a sec. Karmafist 22:43, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Instantnood Rfar
Both Fred Bauder and I have updated various pages with proposed findings, etc. I put my proposals here, Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Instantnood 3/Workshop, Fred put his directly here Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Instantnood 3/Proposed decision, and I've commented on the talk page. You may want to add some pennies worth of thoughts in either. SchmuckyTheCat 20:48, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] -Ril- RfAr
I have posted a request for arbitration against -Ril-. I have not added your name to it as a complainant, because I have left it for you to do that if you add a statement. I think that the ArbCom might do well to open a separate case against -Ril- so that they can close out the rest of the KJV case quickly. Please review the RfAr and see if you want to add to it. Robert McClenon 15:55, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you. Robert McClenon 16:39, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Responses
I did it because it's my opinion that you opposed me, because you're in "the cabal", because there's turmoil with you, both at home and with your transgenderism. And considering that I was offended by you opposing rather than voting neutral for what all we've been through, it seemed that honesty was necessary there. If our friendship is over, that's unfortunate, but probably necessary, it might have been over awhile ago and I was just too dense to see it. Karmafist 15:50, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
- That's fine. I've been through far worse than this and not only survived, but came back. I hope all of them bring you solace in your troubled real life, because you are a good person and deserve a place to feel like you're valued, even if it's with a crowd that tries to hurt others. Karmafist 16:03, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Personal info
Hi there,
You may not have noticed, but El_C's vote on Karmas RFA still had the relevant information as a diff. I have removed it, and have informed El_C about that. It seems to me that its up to you whether to include it or not, and pass that on to User talk:El C.
I hope he wont get pissed for rephrasing his comment, but this seemed more important.
Oh, and sorry for messing up your fresh talk page ;-) Feel free to archive/delete me at will!
