[edit] Re: Wikipedia:New contributors' help page#An article on Shopit.com?

(just posting my answer here as well)

What Wikipedia should and shouldn't cover is constantly debated among editors . There are a few pages that provide a rough guide to the current consensus, see WP:Notability and WP:WEB. Basically, what they boil down to is that if someone wrote about it in the paper, you can write it on Wikipedia. Also, since a newspaper (or another reliable source) wrote about it, it's verifiable, another important "pillar" of Wikipedia. Also, note that Wikipedia is not for advertising. Hope this helps! Thank you for your reply! Should I have included the press links in my article then? This company was written about on Yahoo News, Mashable, Tech Crunch, etc.

Is there anyone who can help me with this please? I'd really appreciate it. Thank youStef2922 19:59, 13 November 2007 (UTC)Stef2922
