The editorial policy of Wikipedia, is designed for general policy issues that too often tend to be rehashed at the individual article level. While NPOV is the cornerstone of general content policy, some guides could be useful to apply the general philosophy to specific cases.

Ideally, any "policy" would be a reflection of a democratic consensus, rather than a dicate by a . In order to standardize consensus across articles, an editorial board could be useful for reminding people (and breaking ties) of what the history of consensus on particular issues and cases has been, and more importantly to organise scattered discussion in a coherent way.
