Steelaway is the name of a steel hulled ketch of the Mauritius design by Bruce Roberts-Goodson. The boat was constructed in the period 2000-2007 and was launched in Gladstone, Central Queensland in October 2007. The contruction is 6mm mild steel plate of double-chine welded to steel stringers at 450mm centres. The deck is constructed of epoxy fibreglass laid over marine grade plywood over oregon cross beams. The boat is ketch rigged with a main and mizzen mast, has a main, mizzen and genoa (headsail) and also carries a stay-sail.

The boat is syndicated with several owners already listed and occasional vacancies. Time allocation is on the basis of two weekly blocks commencing on Sunday 12noon and concluding 13 days later at 12 noon Saturday. One day per block is allocated to cleaning, refuelling and turn-around (incl provisioning, etc).
