[edit] Status Conflict

I was looking at merging this article with Steve Foley (coach) which is an almost identical article. Then noticed a problem with this article quoting a recent death date to the person and still having a category of living people. The other article does not mention a death date. Curiously this article was created on the date of death specified but no other evidence indicates his death.

Does anyone know if this person has recently died and can confirm the date of death?
