Jaraalbe... interesting comment. However, it's actually not self-promotion because Steve Baer wasn't involved in writing it. Still, I can see that it might be rewritten to encompass the information while altering the style or tone. Most of the info comes through the Mother Earth News interview and the lengthy introduction the editors provided (interview listed in the references), as well as The Last Whole Earth Catalog, and the book Sunspots. But there are also scattered references to Steve Baer on the Web, plus there is the "Zomes" section in the recent Lloyd Kahn book, Home Work See for instance http://www.zometool.com/about-history.html .
