[edit] Piecemeal Editing
There seem to be a lot of instances of very minor and piecemeal editing on this page, mostly around the paragraphs covering Poliakoff's return to television. Perhaps a bit of discussion here is needed, as at the moment it seems that the page is being changed every other day to very little effect. I think we could also do with some expansion of the plots of the individual productions that don't already have their own pages. The lack of virtually any detail of his stage work is also rather glaring. Nick Cooper 09:27, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
"Poliakoff" automatically redirects here - it would be nice to make a disambiguation page that lists the unrelated Serge Poliakoff as well —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.66.124.179 (talk) 17:18, August 25, 2007 (UTC)

It has to be stated Poliakoff is the most over-rated TV dramatist ever. In fact his works are so bad now and yet he is getting more praise and he seems to have unlimited powers on the BBC, obtaining BBC footage for some of his work and even changing the times when a well known news program comes on. I think he is taking the mickey at this point and seeing how far he can go. His works just ride on the cinamatography alone, which is good, admittedly. I hope all this is not anything to do with ethnic favouritism. Somebody told me that the people who control the media are also able to breathe down the necks of BBC officials. It's amazing how twisted the minds of intelligent people can get. Why can't people see how crap he is. If people are fearful of saying something, then imagine how hard it was under Stalin. Poliakoff's family came from Russia. And if one can be blind in this regard, then it is easier to understand how Nazi Germany started. Times are not too bad now, but there are many talented people rotting away and we'll never get a chance to see their great works for TV. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.213.64.176 (talk) 02:00, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Stephen Poliakoff.jpg
Image:Stephen Poliakoff.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
