Hi, I've just removed the references to Dion Nash and Daniel Vettori in the captaincy succession box - I don't think they are appropriate given that they were only interim appointments while Fleming was recovering from injury (Nash in 1999 and Vettori in 2004). Other such brief injury-forced interruptions to other player's captaincy careers (such as Ian Smith deputising for Martin Crowe in 1991) haven't been included, so I thought it best to follow suit here.

Best captain in world cricket?? Added Michael Vaughan as a rival as there are split opinions on this. Any New Zelanders remember Vaughan's team mauling Fleming's in 2004? Case closed.

[edit] Stub/NPOV

This article isn't a stub, and I removed the stub tag. I've added the appropriate expand tag in it's place.

But this article doesn't read like an encylopedia article for most of the time--it reads like a sportscaster giving their opinion or writing a column for the paper. Which is evident evn on this very sparse talk page, "Best captain in world cricket?? Added Michael Vaughan as a rival as there are split opinions on this."

If an opinion is going to be given--then it shouldn't be the writer's, it should be the writer telling something important. Someone's opinion was important, public opinion was x--and there should be references to back it up. TStein 12:41, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

As per Wikipedia standards, this article needs to be subdivided on the page into segments so a table of contents can be generated and readers can click on that for access to the information they are seeking.--Wowaconia 15:07, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
