Talk:Stefan Urquelle

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Do not merge the two pages together. Steve and Stefan are two separate characters, even though Stefan originally started out as an alter ego. As soon as Steve cloned himself and turned the clone permanently into Stefan, he became a distinct person in his own right. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.137.139.157 (talk) 08:31, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

I do not think this page should be merged. For one thing Stefan was a recurring plot point in numerous episodes of the series. For another, Stefan's popularity too off almsot as much ad Steve's did. Stefan even became his own, seperate character near the end of the series. And Finally, there is enough information on Stefan to warrent this article. As it is, even the state of the article right now would only bog down the Steve article. Right now it is very bare-bones but CAN be expanded to include more. The duality of a character like Steve/Stefan is something not often seen in sitcoms.(Animedude (talk) 07:08, 31 January 2008 (UTC))

This should not be merged. Stefan Urquelle is an important cultural phenomenon in and of himself and has certainly entered the popular lexicon and public consciousness. Algabal 14:43, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

I would have to disagree with this. Stefan Urquelle is not that much of a cultural phenomenon. He didn't surface that often in the show, and more people are familiar with Jaleel White's character "Urkel", not "Urquelle." It just seems a little gratuitous for a fictional character's alter ego to have his own page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.142.71.226 (talk) 22:43, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

this should be merged. Acidburn24m 20:17, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

It should be merged for two reason. While Stefan in the end came out of his own. He is still a part of steve a supressed part that needs to be explored. I would say that more so Urkel has everything in himself to be stefan without Boss Sauce. However he need to bring it out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.136.127.103 (talk) 04:26, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

The 2 should be merged because Steve Urkel wouldn't be the character that everyone knows without Stefan Urquelle.

[edit] Merge

Its the same person, why should they have their own page when one longer page works just as well? Just an example, Niki Sanders from Heroes has an alter ego, Jessica, but its all on the same page. Why?? Because two pages would be unneccessary. Uquelle is not that cultural enough to warrant his own page, it was a minor character in an American sitcom. smooth0707 (talk) 23:43, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
