Can someone post a picture of the controller? Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 02:00, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

I added the official website to the External Links section. It shows all of the included hardware - just follow the link. It would be nice to have a photo in the article itself, of course. It needs a screenshot, too. 68.14.76.151 03:11, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] VT Technology

I added a huge section extrapolating on what is given in the manual, and my in game observations. However one thing in the manual that I do not agree with is the "Buffer Material" In the manual it moves, changes shape and is generally in my opinion waaay too nanomachine like. If it is nanomachines then why can the VT not self repair? One possibilty is that is is a composition of the same fluid used in the ball joints, magnetic to move it, electrical to stiffen it. Adding say an explosive reactive nature to it like the "peanutbutter" armor on a M1 hbrams tank would make that seem more realistsic. However having it form a protective shell around pilots command chair during an ejection cycle is just too unrealistic and unessasary. Airbags would be more reliable and cheaper as well. So I took the liberty of changing that detail.

Additionally the COOS and Balancer interaction model was incorectly described in the manual. The conflicting information in the manual has the balancer both as an acvie and passive device. In the model that I portrayed it is similar to macro/micro interactions on modern military helocopters such as the stabilator system on the UH-60, or the MMS control system on the OH-58D.

In the future I plan on expanding the Pilot Support Systems article to include a breakdown of the controller, its functions, the HUD and its meanings, and each generation of cockpit with explinations.

The screenshot angle I cannot figure out. One would have to hook up the xbox to a nice video capture or TV-tuner card to do that, and I do not have either one.

No speculation, dude. As much as i would like to have a RL VT, wikipedia isn't for blueprints. Perhaps set up somethin' like that on Wikia... NodPilot42 03:05, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

This entire section needs rewrite and maybe just deletion. Almost completely in-universe. Mentions of what the COOS system is doing when you fall over? List of devices attached to the ejection seat?

Doesn't matter if its straight out of the manual. This article is about a real thing (the game Tekki/Steel Battalion), not a story of a fictional robot. 198.74.36.80 (talk) 02:16, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

FOR EXAMPLE: wtf is this: "After the pilot comes to a complete rest, he or she may deflate the airbags, or in the case of a water ejection, may choose to keep the system inflated as a makeshift flotation device. This would allow the pilot to don additional flotation devices before attempting an escape." Nowhere in the game does this happen. You eject successfully and you see a screen saying you ejected. You don't and you see one saying you died.

The reason I bring this up is that I'm about to "mercilessly edit" your text and put a bunch of stuff about the development, developers, public acclaim, online community etc. (no one has even mantioned that capcom ran servers with a persistant world and then took them down after the useage fell off.) 198.74.36.80 (talk) 02:27, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Detail

No controller pics? No reviews? Chairman Sharif 20:12, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

If someone has a controller pic, I totally think it would be a good thing to add. It's a pretty unique thing, and it's definitly what sets the game apart. MMAACKS 18:26, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bias

This seems a bit too non-NPOV, and probably, at the very least, needs some criticism of the game to balance the article out. Also, it seems as if there is to much room spent talking about the actual lpgistics of the game world itself.--Norton112200 13:51, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Needs Editing!!

Hi. I'm just writing this to say someone needs to take a chain saw to this article and if they don't I might 75% of the info in the article is either utter BS or non-neutral POV to say the least. Also I think it was written by someone biased in favour of the game and furthermore has far too much non-important info. just a heads-up in case no one does anything. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.242.141.135 (talk) 08:11, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Not only that but their spelling is a joke. Some one more familiar with the game needs to correct the 50+ minor spelling mistakes on this page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.171.70.21 (talk) 03:39, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
