i dont think should be deleted. a simple search on google has made me come up with this:
Stearyl alcohol is a nonionic surfactant used as a hair coating in shampoos and conditioners. It is used as an emollient (skin softener), emulsifier, and thickener in creams and lotions.
this could be helpful enough as a stub.
