- I checked all of my information against the source you cited. State what's wrong here, on the talk page, so that I can check it. "Abbe's law" doesn't directly relate to this type of microscope - look it up yourself. I already linked to the correct optical terms. "Confocal scanning microscope" is not a STED - A STED is a _type_ of confocal scanning microscope, which is why I put a recap paragraph at the top of the article. --Christopher Thomas 00:56, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
The dye doesn't have an emission line, but rather a broad spectrum. The nonlinearity of the stimulated emmision process is also of great importance for achieving high resolution.
