Stewart & Stevenson

Stewart & Stevenson was a Houston, Texas-based manufacturer of oil industry and military equipment, most notably the U.S. military's Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles. The company has been based in Houston since 1902 and started as a carriage repair and horseshoeing company. The company was bought in 2006 for $755 million in cash by Armor Holdings, Inc., who in turn were bought by BAE Systems in 2007. They now operate as a division of that company.
