Steventon is a village and civil parish in Oxfordshire, England, south of Abingdon and west of Didcot. It is best known for Truck Festival, an annual music festival which takes place in July.
Steventon railway station was opened in 1840 on the Great Western Railway. Initially, it was the main station for Oxford, 10 miles to the north, but in 1844, Didcot station was opened, with a branch line to Oxford. However, the village station remained open until 1964.
The village is also of some historical significance due to the Medieval causeway. Built by local monks in the Middle Ages, it runs the whole length of the village along its traditional East–West axis. The causeway ends near the church of St Michael & All Angels, built in the 14th century by the Flemings.[1]
