Stevensville, Ontario

Stevensville Ontario is a great little city! There are two possible future olympians. Stevensville is also the birthplace of James L. Krafft who invented KRAFT inc. He is related to Steven Tripp.

Only a few kilometres north of Lake Erie, Stevensville is primarily comprised of agricultural/farm land. Stevensville is also home to a "castle" of sorts, located between Ott, Bowen, House and Gilmore Roads. It is actually the home of a local general contractor and his family. Contrary to some people's belief, construction of the home is ongoing, having started sometime in the late 90's, with the family living in a trailer next to the partially completed home.

Plenty of wildlife can be sighted throughout the rural sections of Stevensville. There are small groups of turkeys and many deer that call this beautiful town their home. There are many opportunities to experience the outdoors in Stevensville. Black Creek runs through the area which is often used by kayaks and canoes with a perfect spot to launch the boat at the end of Main Street.

Stevensville is also the birthplace of Canadian entrepreneur James L. Kraft, inventor of processed cheese and founder of the multimillion dollar J.L. Kraft & Bros. Company, which later became Kraft Foods Inc.

Stevensville is also home to the country singing group the Stevensville Four, which included lead singer, David Desilest Jr.
