Steven Smith (born April 12, 1983 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American professional basketball player, formerly in the NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers. Smith is a graduate of La Salle University, where he won the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year Award twice (2005 and 2006).
After starting 2006-07 with the Sixers, Smith was waived in January 2007. In eight total games, he averaged 0.6 points and 0.8 rebounds.[1] He played for the Anaheim Arsenal of the NBA Development League in 2007 then, in February 2008, signed for Solsonica Rieti, in Italy's Serie A.
