Steven Richards (born 11 July 1972 in Auckland, New Zealand) is a New Zealand racing driver, currently competing in the V8 Supercar series for Ford Performance Racing. Despite the common surname, he is unrelated to fellow V8 Supercar driver Jason Richards.

He is the son of seven-time Bathurst 1000 winner Jim Richards and is a two-time Bathurst winner himself, having won the event in 1998 and 1999. He is one of only three drivers to win Bathurst in both a Ford and a Holden (the others are Craig Lowndes and Tony Longhurst).

Nicknamed Richo, he has previously raced for Jack Daniel's Racing, Ford Tickford Racing, Gibson Motorsport and Garry Rogers Motorsport. Thanks to his successes in both Fords and Holdens, Richards remains popular among fans of both brands. He signed with Ford Performance Racing for the 2007 season, a homecoming of sorts as he raced for this team under its Ford Tickford Racing banner.

Before taking up motor racing fulltime, Richards served his apprenticeship as an aircraft engineer.
