Steven "Stevo" Matheson was a fictional character on the Australian television soap opera series Home and Away. The character was played by actor Adam Willits.

Steven had a very happy childhood, until age 14, he discovered his parents had died in a house fire while he was staying across the street at a friend's house.
Steven was left traumatised and was placed in a temporary home, as he had no extended family able to care for him. Tom and Pippa Fletcher, who had recently moved to Summer Bay took Steven in along with their other foster children Frank Morgan, Carly Morris, Lynn Davenport and Sally Fletcher. Steven found it hard to adjust and frequently clashed with Frank who teased him for being clever.
Steven settled in well at Summer Bay High and later had an affair with older woman named, Jennifer which fizzled out.
Philip, Steven's uncle and only living releative later made a reappearance in his life. Tragically their reunion was cut short once Philip died in a fire, like Steven's parents before him. The culprit was none other than Brian "Dodge" Forbes, who had been Steven's friend.
In 1991, Steven left Summer Bay to attend University in the city and returned four years later as a teacher at his alma mater, Summer Bay High.
Steven then shared a house with newly arrived Dr. Kelly Watson who he was attracted to, and Travis Nash, who he had attended Summer Bay High school with.
All seemed cosy, until Dodge who had been released for prison for Arson and Murder returned to Summer Bay causing problems for Steven and his housemates. This culminated in a clifftop scuffle with Dodge falling off a cliff and disappearing (His whereabouts have since been unknown).
In 1996, Steven became involved with Selina Roberts, one of his students and the affair became public knowledge. Steven then left Summer Bay, but returned a year later and reconciled with Selina, who was dating Jesse McGregor at the time.
Three years later, Steven was back in town for Sally's wedding to Keiran Fletcher, Donald Fisher had arranged for Steven and Frank to walk Sally down the ailse as a surprise.
The wedding didn't go to plan. After the service, Steven confronted Keiran on the beach and promptly beat him up.
Steven later made several reappearances over the next few years; For Summer Bay's 150th Anniversary celebrations and Sally's wedding to Flynn Saunders
In April 2008, Steven, alongside Carly and Pippa returned to Summer bay for his foster sister Sally Fletcher's farewell concert.
