[edit] Personal life
Steven Hill was born April 26, 1978 in San Marcos, Texas, but he was raised predominantly in Austin, Texas, and considers Austin to be his hometown. At the age of 16, Hill left home and became emancipated. He went to the University of Texas and majored in business. Towards the latter days of his collegiate career, Hill married a woman who hasn't been identified publicly.
[edit] Real World: Las Vegas
Hill's marriage failed by the time he was selected by MTV to appear in the 12th season of the Real World reality series. On the first episode, he met fellow castmates Brynn and Trishelle Cannatella for a steamy three way makeout session in the hot tub. Hill's dramatic relationship with Cannatella, along with his dynamic fight with Brynn, would help to garner MTV some of the best ratings the show had ever seen. The relationship would fizzle after a dramatic pregnancy scare. Hill rapidly assumed celebrity status, as an instantly recognizable figure of MTV.

When the show aired, the media portrayed him as 'slutty-Steven'. Hill vehemently abhorred such a label and in fact, attempted to defend both himself and Cannatella, maintaining that they were actually the least promiscious, because they were in a relationship with each other. In fact, he has gone on record to state that one of the reason's he doesn't date women who watch the show is such a label.
[edit] After The Real World
After The Real World ended, Hill appeared in several subsequent MTV shows, including various Real World/Road Rules challenges, Battle of the Sexes 2 and was the host of Say What? Karaoke for a season. Although Hill attempted to branch out into mainstram Hollywood as an actor, he primarily travels around the country as a guest speaker, sometimes performing some of his own comedic material.
Like Brian McKnight, rumors of a potential pose of Playgirl magazine were substantiated and confirmed, although to date the stats of such negotiations is unknown. He appeared in an episode of the UPN sitcom Half and Half as a baseball player, on an episode of Drake and Josh as an MTV Host (a la TRL), and appeared in the short film "See Rock City". The film premiered at the Cine-World Film Festival in Sarasota in November 2006. It began travelling the film festival circuit with a Northwest U.S. premiere in Portland, Oregon at the Longbaugh Film Festival in March 2007. The film screened at the Sarasota Film Festival in April 2007, and the Rainier Independent Film Festival in May 2007, where it won the Best Short Film Award. The film can be seen at the Long Island Independent Film Festival in July 2007 and the Central Florida Film Festival over the Labor Day weekend.
In April 2007, Hill agreed to return to MTV to live with his roommates again in The Real World:Las Vegas II. Finally, Hill walked down the aisle again, marrying a woman named Donna. Now Donna is pregnant with a boy. In 2008, Hill began hosting shows for the Auction Network.
