Steve Larry Woodard (born May 15, 1975 in Hartselle, Alabama) is a pitcher in Major League Baseball for the Florida Marlins organization. He bats left-handed and throws right-handed.
On September 6, 2007, the New York Daily News reported that Woodard had purchased steroids and human growth hormone from a Florida pharmacy in 2004.[1] The drugs were delivered to Woodard from Signature Pharmacy in Orlando, Florida, and obtained through the Palm Beach Gardens-based clinic The Health and Rejuvenation Center.[1] The shipments came to light as a result of an investigation by Albany County, New York District Attorney David Soares.[1]
Woodard is currently pitching in the Florida Marlins organization, for their Triple-A affiliate, the Albuquerque Isotopes.
