Steve Purdy (b. February 5, 1985), is an American soccer defender currently playing overseas in Germany for TSV 1860 Munich II in Regionalliga Süd. He played college soccer for the University of California-Berkeley and then chose to bypass MLS to sign with 1860 Munich's reserve team in January 2007. He has claimed a regular role on the reserve squad during the 2007/08 season.
Purdy was a member of the US U-18 team, and played ten matches for the US U-20s. Purdy has not yet received a senior international cap, but was called into training camp for the US's match against Switzerland, during which he and several other young players were evaluated for the U-23 team's upcoming Olympic qualifying campaign.
