Steve Patton is the current head coach of the Gardner-Webb University college football team. Patton has over two decades of collegiate coaching experience including twelve seasons as head coach with GWU.

Patton played football at the University of Alabama before transferring to Furman University where he also competed in tennis. He graduated from Furman in 1977.
