Steve Patterson (sports executive)

Steve Patterson is an American sports executive and the former president and general manager of the Portland Trail Blazers National Basketball Association franchise.

Patterson joined the Trail Blazers as the team president in June 2003. He became the general manager after John Nash was fired in May 2006, and served in both roles until unexpectedly resigning on March 1st, 2007.[1]

Patterson had previously worked as Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer of the Houston Texans of the National Football League, President and General Manager of the Houston Aeros of the International Hockey League, and General Manager and Alternate Governor of the Houston Rockets.[2]
