Steve Miller (business)

Steve Miller, whose birth name was Robert S. Miller, Jr., is the Executive Chairman of Delphi Corporation. He has previously worked at Bethlehem Steel, Morrison-Knudson, Chrysler Corporation, and Federal-Mogul. Miller has experience in restructuring companies through Chapter 11. Steve Miller was named as the Executive of the Year in 2006.[citation needed]
He began his career at Ford Motor in 1968 and worked for the company in various positions in the U.S., Mexico, Australia, and Venezuela. He was recruited to the Chrysler Corporation by Lee Iacocca in 1979. While with Chrysler in the 1980s, he was the executive in charge of arranging with hundreds of banks the U.S. Government insured program of loans that enabled Chrysler to emerge from bankruptcy and become an industrial powerhouse under the leadership of Iacocca.
Miller left Chrysler in 1992 to embark on a new career specializing in the restructuring of troubled companies.
He was married to Margaret "Maggie" Miller for nearly forty years, but she died from brain cancer at the age of 69 on August 11, 2006, at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Miller later married Jill Jablonski, age 49, on September 15th, 2007 in Dearborn, Michigan.
Ms. Jablonski is the executive director of the Society of Automotive Engineers - Detroit Section, (SAE International), the organization's largest chapter.
