Steve Litt (born September 22, 1949) is a Jewish American author and Computer Programmer. He is also the owner of [Troubleshooters.com]. He is the main author of Samba Unleashed, and the author of several books, including Troubleshooting Techniques of the Successful Technologist.

Litt was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Walter and Connie Litt. He attended New Trier High in 1963, and graduated in 1967. He went to Illinois Institute of Technology in 1967, majoring in Electrical Engineering. He would later go on to become a Computer Programmer. He left home at 19, in 1968, but occasionally visited his parents over the summer. He eventually left Chicago for good, and moved to California.
In 1990, he became an author. He has since written several books and collections.
