From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Steve Jackson is an Australian former rugby league player. He played in the New South Wales Rugby League premiership for the Canberra Raiders (1987-89), Western Suburbs Magpies (1990-91) and Gold Coast Seagulls (1992-93).
Jackson is best remembered for scoring the match-winning try in the 1989 Grand Final, won by the Canberra Raiders 19-14 over Balmain Tigers. Ironically, this was Jackson's last ever appearance for the Raiders.
Jackson has also appeared in 9 State of Origin matches for Queensland, scoring one try.
