[edit] Goddard's Gold
Goddard's Gold is a weekly three-hour program dedicated to music between the years of 1960 and 1973. As a whole, the show's song selection is slightly older than most classic hits programs, making the program a popular choice among oldies stations. Goddard employs his encyclopedic knowledge of the songs and artists that he plays and an extensive playlist to tie together the program.
Each week, Goddard's Gold has a different theme (one hit wonders, songs about animals, the "Rock and Roll Heaven" category of dead artists, or a particular band, for instance). Once a month, Goddard has a "class" of a certain year, featuring songs from that year. He also hosts an annual Christmas show while the last show of each year is always dedicated to the last hits of various artists.
[edit] The 70s
The 70s with Steve Goddard is a weekly three-hour program dedicated to music between the years of 1970 and 1979, a period that is becoming more popular with classic hits stations. The program, other than the actual songs selected, is virtually identical in format to Goddard's Gold, including the use of similar themes for both shows each week.
