Steve Brown (musician)

Steve Brown (born in Freeport, Long Island, 1942) is a jazz guitarist, composer, arranger, and educator. He is the Director of Jazz Studies at Ithaca College, a position he has held for over 30 years. He is an active performer, composer, and arranger, often appearing with his group, "The Steve Brown Quartet." Brown has played with such musicians as Jimmy Smith, Paquito D'Rivera, Chuck Mangione, Phil Woods, and Ray Charles. Brown was a member of Chuck Israel's National Jazz Ensemble, and toured the United States and Europe numerous times.
