Steve Austin is an American producer of independent "made for TV movies" and several theatrical release films. He is the President and CEO of Tag Entertainment. He is currently living at his property in the Malibu California enclave or has sold this property since learning of the FBI investigation.
He founded an Independent film company that has some financial ties with 20th Century Fox. The company called Tag Entertainment is presented as a Faith-based Christian family film company.
Steve Austin has a natural born daughter named Alana Austin who is in many of the projects he produced. Also, Alyssa Austin acted the part of a younger Mathilda McCann than her sister's role in the movie A Simple Twist of Fate (1994).

In the proxy statement of his company, TAG Entertainment, he is described, "Steve Austin serves as Chairman, President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Tag Entertainment Corp. Mr. Austin served as Chief Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer. Mr. Austin has over 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Mr. Austin has an extensive and distinguished career in all aspects of the film and television industry including experience as an actor, personal manager, director, producer and company executive. He starred in the best-selling video series 'Daddy and Me' distributed by Artisan Entertainment. He managed his daughter Alana Austin's career for over ten years and negotiated deals for her that included staring roles in: A Simple Twist of Fate for Disney starring Steve Martin, North for Castle Rock directed by Rob Reiner, a recurring role in the television series Ink with Tony Danza and Sister Sister for Warner Bros. Mr. Austin directed the feature film Route 66, and has produced and independently financed the following films: Dumb Luck, No Place Like Home, Castle Rock,The Retrievers, The Santa Trap and Red Riding Hood. Mr. Austin founded TAG Entertainment, Inc. in 1999 as a company focused on developing, creating, distributing and marketing family entertainment."

To finance some of the various movie projects, Steve Austin has contracted business partnerships with established film producers, and also secured investment money by solicitation across the United States.
Steve Austin (Steven Kent Austin), other officials of Tag Entertainment Corp. and many affiliates are suspected of conducting various forms of business fraud. Tag Entertainment and some tightly tied entities are restrained from conducting further acts of business fraud seen as evident to the State of California. The United States Department of Justice is proceeding with a prosecution of Steven Kent Austin. The D.O.J. information is; Case Number 2007R02168 and Docket Number CR 07-1071. The FBI continues to investigate (FBI Investigative Case Number: 318E-LA-244340) the goings on regarding various movie programs.
Steve Austin has formed close business ties with some film industry producers who have assisted with the various productions in a direct official capacity. Some of the partners involved with movies ultimately under the control of Steve Austin are Michael Amato, Richard Gabai, John J. Anderson, Nzinga Garvey, Gary Arnold, David Borg, Jonathan Bogner, Lou Pearlman, Rena Tonelli, Greg McDonald, Ray Skiptunis and numerous others during the years since the 1998 Steve Austin produced and directed version of Route 66 that began the now troubled movie company.

A trial before Judge MARGARET M. MORROW was scheduled to begin on March 25, 2008, 08:30 AM, in the same case which involves defendant(s) STEVEN KENT AUSTIN. Initial charges pending from the U.S. Attorneys Office are described and pertain to: Mail Fraud - Frauds and swindles, and Willfully makes and subscribes to a false tax return. These court events occur before U.S. District Judge Margaret M. Morrow, courtroom #780, of the Edward R. Roybal Federal Building and Courthouse, located at 255 E. Temple Street, in Los Angeles, California.
STEVEN KENT AUSTIN pleaded Guilty to all charges before the public trial occurred. A sentencing trial is scheduled for September 22, 2008. The public is welcome. Judge MARGARET M. MORROW presides at the Federal Court proceedings. Sentencing judgment and restitutions rulings will eventually take place. States and Superior Courts cases also wait upon coming actions and restitutions. Recovered proceeds and real estate purchased with investors funds wait among the seized property that is planned for disbursement. A new FBI agent is continuing the recovery process.
