Sterling High School (Baytown, Texas)

Ross S. Sterling High School is a secondary school located in Baytown, Texas.

Sterling, which serves grades 9 through 12, is a part of the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District. The school was built in 1966 to accommodate the growing population of Baytown. The campus has over 400,000 square feet and is built on 86.32 acres.

Sections of the city of Baytown and the unincorporated community of Highlands are zoned to Sterling High School.

The 2006 School Membership Report shows that Sterling's ethnic breakdown includes 1,237 (42%) White students, 619 (21%) African-American students, 1,035 (35%) Hispanic students, and 49 (2%) Asian-American, Indian and other students.
