(2008)

Stereotype: Steel & Velvet is singer Tonéx's 13th album. Tonex stated in an interview, that the name Stereotype is a metaphor for the dual nature in humanity (i.e. stereo, left and right).[1] The album was original to be released on Verity/Jive Records on September 11, 2007. Disagreements later led to a dissolution of the association between Tonex and Zomba Label Group.[2] As a result, Stereotype: Steel & Velvet was not officially released. The artist opted to give the album away for free on his MySpace page as a thank you to fans.[citation needed] One single "Joy" had been serviced to radio under the auspices of Verity in May 2007.[citation needed]
