Stereotrap plays raw, emotional rock with honest, intense and thought-provoking lyrics that speaks a message of hope and faith. Dynamic, up front, and wearing their convictions on their sleeves, they are a band full of passion, with a live show that must be seen to be believed. Thousands of album sales, charting songs on Christian and mainstream radio in Canada and the US, numerous miles on the road, sharing the stage with such bands as Pillar, Thousand Foot Krutch, Project 86 and Anberlin, and two national awards have been just a few of the accomplishments this band has made over the past 3 years. Stereotrap is composed of four equally important parts: Michael Lauen (guitars), Colin Richet (vocals, guitar) Kelly Bitner (drums), and Cas Bitner (bass). They show a maturity beyond their years, with a willingness to minister, serve and cut to heart of what this generation triumphs over, struggles with, and faces on a daily basis. A brand new 6-song EP from Stereotrap entitled Are We the Wind or the Waves, will hit stores October 24th, following up their award-winning 2003 debut release Refusing. They have just recently won the Hard Music Song of the Year at the Covenant awards for their song 'Lifegiver'.
