Stephen Wellman (born August 31, 1982 in Zurrieq, Malta) is a professional footballer currently playing for Maltese Premier League side Marsaxlokk, where he plays as a defender.
He has also been part of the Malta national football team, scoring one goal. This goal came from a freekick, equalising in a 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification (UEFA) match against Croatia, which sent Croatian fans in anger and caused riots.[1]
