Stephen R. Kaufman

Stephen R. Kaufman is an ophthalmologist specializing in retinal disease and a clinical assistant professor at both Case Western Reserve University and Northeastern Ohio University's College of Medicine. He is co-chair of the Medical Research Modernization Committee (MRMC), president of Vegetarian Advocates (a Cleveland-based group), co-chair of the Christian Vegetarian Association, and a founding member of the Society of Ethical and Religious Vegetarians.
He has written and lectured on animal experimentation’s shortcomings, as well as diet and health, Christian spirituality and vegetarianism, including contributions to Scientific American and Reason magazines, medical journals, and Good News for All Creation with Nathan Braun.
