[edit] Club career
[edit] Sheffield United
Quinn started his footballing career with St Patrick's Athletic in the Football League of Ireland.
He signed for Sheffield United in 2005, and made his first team debut for the Blades in a League Cup win at Shrewsbury Town on September 20, 2005.[1]
Quinn spent some of the 2005-06 season on loan with Milton Keynes Dons[2] and Rotherham United respectively.[3] Stephen became a fan favourite at Rotherham United; his consistent excellent performances helping to keep them in League 1.
Stephen made his Premiership debut, against Charlton Athletic, and could almost scored within the first 40 seconds of the game.[4] In his second appearance, a match against Aston Villa at Bramall Lane, he did score his first goal for the club.[5] Quinn ended the season by winning the young player of the season award, his excellent performances were also rewarded with a new contract. Quinn looks like being a real quality player for The Blades in the years to come.[citation needed]
