Stephen J. Friedman

Stephen J. Friedman, former commissioner of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, is the current president of Pace University. Prior to that, Friedman has served as dean of the Pace Law School, and senior partner and co-chairman of Debevoise & Plimpton.
Friedman earned an AB from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and a JD from Harvard Law School; he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review and a recipient of Harvard Law School's Joshua Montgomery Sears, Jr. Prize - also known as the Sears Prize.
