[edit] Career
Doran captained Shelbourne's under-21 squad during the 2007 season where they reached the Dr. Tony O'Neill Under-21 League Quarter-Finals, only to beaten at that stage by St. Patrick's Athletic in a penalty shoot-out after a 2-2 draw after extra-time. Doran made his Shelbourne first team debut during that 2007 season as a second-half substitute on June 15, 2007 during a 1-0 defeat to Cork City in an FAI Cup 2nd round tie at Tolka Park[1]. Doran made one league appearance for Shels on the final day of the 2007 season during a 3-1 defeat to Wexford Youths on November 10, 2007 at Tolka Park. Soon after, Doran was promoted permanently to Shelbourne's first team for their 2008 campaign.
