Stephen August Colletti (born February 13, 1986 ^[1]) is an American actor and television personality. He was featured on the MTV reality show Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. He co-hosts MTV's Total Request Live and supporting character Chase Adams on One Tree Hill.

Stephen Colletti was born in Newport Beach, California. His father is of Italian American descent. He is the youngest child to an older brother, John, and sister, Lauren. Stephen spent much of his life in the beachside community of Laguna Beach. He grew up with an interest in watersports with his dad. At age 11, Stephen gained an interest in acting.

During his senior year in high school, Stephen was approached by MTV producers for a role on an up-and-coming reality show. After telling his story to producers, he was asked if cameras follow his every move and, he agreed, as did some of his friends, including then-girlfriend Kristin Cavallari. This show is most popularly known as Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.

Following the success of Laguna Beach, Stephen was included in Teen People magazine's Top Ten Most Beautiful Stars of 2005 and featured in Teen Vogue magazine's Young Hollywood's Up and Coming for 2005.

When filming for Laguna Beach ended, Stephen went on to study television production at San Francisco State University. He later withdrew and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. He can be seen in several episodes of One Tree Hill, playing the role Chase Adams. Chase Adams was a clean teen at Tree Hill High School, and lost his virginity to Brooke Davis in the back of a car the night that the senior student's names would be erased from the computers. He also came back the fifth season as Brooke's new boyfriend Owen's roommate and best friend. He gets set up on a blind date with Peyton Sawyer, Brooke's best friend.

Colletti was Punk'd. The show involved his then girlfriend Hayden Panettiere. In the episode Hayden was receiving a tan in the booth while some workers cut a hole in the wall and took pictures.

Stephen also recently appeared in the MTV show "The Hills", starring former "Laguna Beach" star Lauren Conrad.

Before and during filming of Laguna Beach, Stephen and Kristin were dating. The pair are no longer together.
He has also been said to have had a relationship with childhood friend and Laguna Beach co-star Lauren Conrad, who is now starring in another MTV reality show called The Hills.
Stephen dated NBC's Heroes cast member, Hayden Panettiere (who plays indestructible cheerleader Claire Bennett), since summer 2006, but they broke up a year later. According to reports, they are "still friends".
