Stephen Christian is the lead vocalist of the alternative rock band Anberlin. He and his bandmates started the group in 2002, after the demise of their previous group, known as SaGoh 24/7. He is also one of the main songwriters of the band, along with Joseph Milligan.
Anberlin has released three albums, Blueprints for the Black Market, Never Take Friendship Personal, and Cities. Anberlin has also released a compilation album, Lost Songs, and will be releasing their fourth album, New Surrender, this August. Christian also has a solo project under the name of Anchor & Braille with Aaron Marsh of Copeland. A full length album is expected to be formed sometime in 2008. Christian wrote a book, The Orphaned Anything's Memoir of a Lesser Known, and it was released online in spring of 2008.
He is a graduate from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. [1] He also helped found Faceless International, a non-profit organization that organizes and takes humanitarian trips to overseas countries with other bands in an attempt to help educate both those on the trip and those in the country they visit.
