Stephany Smith

Stephany Smith was the head women's basketball coach at the University of Alabama. She replaced basketball coach Rick Moody, and became only the school's 7th basketball coach. Prior to becoming head coach, she led Middle Tennessee State to a 153-88 record.

Her Middle Tennessee State teams had back-to-back 24 win seasons, and captured Sun Belt Conference crowns.

Smith was 29-90 with four Southeastern Conference wins in three seasons at The University of Alabama. The team ended the 2007-2008 season with a 14 game losing streak. She was removed from her position on 3-11-08 by Mal Moore, the Alabama Athletic Director.
