Stephanie first arrived in Summer Bay in 1996. Her sister, Kibiri had previously been involved Travis Nash who had been in Somalia with a United Nations Peacekeeping force. Unfortunately, Kibiri was killed in a massacre. Stephanie had spent some time in England as a doctor had taken over there. The doctor later died and Stephanie was forced to flee to Australia on a fake British passport, in the hope that Travis would look after her.
Stephanie quickly made friends with local teenagers, Liam Tanner and Casey Mitchell.
To Ensure that Stephanie was granted a stay of execution, She was forced to leave Summer Bay to stay with a foster family in Brisbane. Sometime later, Stephanie returned to the bay and began dating Liam, who she eventually lost her virginity to.
One day, while walking along the cliffs with Liam, Casey and Joey Rainbow she slipped off the edge. She grabbed and was hanging on the edge. Liam tried to help her, but her grip gave way, and Stephanie fell to her death.
At the funeral, Liam delivered an emotional Eulogy.
