Stephanie Ashworth (born 1974) is the bass player for Australian band Something for Kate. She joined the band, according to her in an interview "sometime in 1997 or 1998, I can't remember" replacing Toby Ralph (who replaced Julian Carroll).
She has contributed to many of Something for Kate's artwork and designs with her photography.
Stephanie previously played in the band Sandpit. She is now married to bandmate/frontman Paul Dempsey.
She was offered the place as bassist in Courtney Love's band Hole but declined.
Stephanie currently writes a monthly column in Jmag, Triple J magazine. Her first column appeared in January 2008 edition.
