Stephanie is a female name. It is one of the feminine forms of the masculine name Stephen. Variations include Stephanie, Stephannie, Stephenie, Stefanie and Stephany, with nicknames Steph, Stephi, Steffi, Stephie, Stef and Stepha. Stephanie comes from the Greek name Stephanos (Στέφανος) meaning "crown".[1] Feminine forms of Stephen in other languages include the Italian Stefania, and the Spanish Estefanía. The form Stéphanie is from the French language, but Stephanie is now widely used in both English and Spanish speaking cultures.
